Our Church Budget for 2021.

Last Sunday our church body met and approved the budget for 2021 of $116,793.00. Unlike a business, our church budget's money that we don't have. We proceed from previous experience, and we trust the Lord to supply our needs through the faithful generosity of His people. Thank you. We're open to answering any questions that you may have about this year's budget.

Scripture on the Walls

Thanks to Kat Tapscott who's adding the Scriptures that you chose to go on our walls.

The Growth Committee

The committee has been unable to meet because of illness in their membership. Please pray for their health and well-being as they continue.

Especially, pray for Roy Adcock, the retired architect, who's getting over the virus. Also, be praying and thinking about a new chapel. Your ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Our Prayer Chain
Thanks to Loretta Stumbaugh for managing our Prayer Chain, and for your prayers. When Loretta texts out requests, you don't need to answer...just pray right then. When you answer, it goes out to the whole chain, and it's becoming an interruptive burden to members who are working.

Our Missions

NHCF supports nine missions: The Thomases at JARRS; the Risley Family Ministries in Mexico; Navajo Christian Foundation at Dilkon on the reservation; AICM (American Indian Christian Mission) in Linden; Living Hope Women's Centers in Show Low; the Christian Community Outreach in Show Low; the Coalition Against Homelessness in Show Low, and the Salvation Army.

Staying Power

Christians have staying power. When the rest of the world is in a nervous fit of anxiety, we stay in our place, holding the course. This is possible because of the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

There's a point in our lives as believers when we realize that we can't do this life on our own; we need help. The world suffers the same want, but they turn to psychological counselors, politicians and civil authorities with their burdens. Believers, however, turn to God in the Holy Spirit, our Helper (John 14.16; 16.13; Acts 1.8).

We believers have little control over the circumstances around us. Sure, we can pray, and we should, but too often our prayers are full of wishful thinking and words. Paul tells us, "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit..." (Ephes. 6.18). "At all times" means just that, but we drift in our praying. We trust ourselves and not God.

How so? Well, why pray the same prayer over and over again, as if you have some control? God heard you the first time Perseverance in prayer does not mean repeating a prayer, it means believing God's answer and thanking Him for it. That's what Jesus meant when He said, "at all times (you) ought to pray and not lose heart" (Luke 18.1). Likewise, "all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you" (Mark 11.24).

That's the difference between "praying in the Spirit" and "praying out of the flesh." The Spirit prays for us (Rom.8.26). We have staying power because of the power of the Holy Spirit which has been poured out on us.
